By using the Szlaki service in any way, you agree to the terms set out in this Privacy Policy.
§1 Definitions
- Operator – W3media.pl s.c., headquartered at al. Powstania Warszawskiego 15, Kraków, Poland, VAT ID: 945-212-37-28, e-mail: kontakt@w3media.pl
- Application – the Szlaki mobile applications for Android and iOS
- Website – the website available at szlaki.app
- Service – the Application, the Website, and the server-side software required to provide the services
- User – a natural person using the Service in any way
- Account – an entry in the Service database confirming the User's registration, including registration via Facebook, Apple, or Google
- User Content – content shared by the User within the Service, including photos, comments, and recorded route tracks
- User Profile – a section of the Application and Website containing publicly available information about the User, including the User's name, profile photo, and User Content
§2 Personal Data
- The Operator is the controller of the User's personal data.
- Personal data is collected directly from Users registering for the Service.
- During registration, the User must provide an e-mail address, full name, gender, and weight. This information is necessary to provide the Service.
- The User's e-mail address is never publicly displayed within the Service.
- The purposes of processing personal data are:
- creating an Account in the Service;
- providing electronic services through the Service;
- analyzing and managing User activity in order to personalize services and content according to individual preferences;
- conducting marketing activities.
- Under the GDPR, Users may have the following rights regarding the processing of their personal data:
- the right of access to personal data;
- the right to rectify personal data;
- the right to erase personal data;
- the right to restrict the processing of personal data;
- the right to object to the processing of personal data;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
- the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data.
- The Operator does not sell or share Users' personal data with other individuals, companies, or institutions without the User's consent.
- Users' personal data may be disclosed to entities authorized to receive such data under applicable law, including competent judicial authorities.
- The User may delete their Account together with all associated personal data at any time using the function available after logging into the Application.
§3 Content and Location Data
- The User Profile and User Content are publicly displayed within the Application and on the Website.
- While recording routes, the Application stores the device's location data.
- Location data may be used anonymously for statistical analysis of completed routes and to verify the course of hiking trails used by the Service.
§4 Cookie Policy
- The Service uses cookies, which are small text files stored on the User's device and are necessary for the proper operation of the Service.
- Cookies are used within the Application to:
- collect aggregated statistics about User activity and traffic (in particular through Google Analytics);
- deliver and personalize advertisements provided by advertisers;
- integrate third-party tools and social media plugins.
- Some cookies are persistent and remain stored on the device after the Application is closed or after leaving the Website.
- Restricting the use of cookies on the device may affect the functionality of the Service.
§5 Local Storage and IndexedDB Policy
- Local Storage and IndexedDB are mechanisms used to store Service data on the User's device.
- Data stored using Local Storage and IndexedDB is persistent and is not deleted after the Application is closed or after leaving the Website.
- Disabling Local Storage or IndexedDB on the device may affect the functionality of the Service.
§6 Data Transmitted via HTTP/HTTPS/WebSocket

Data obtained from information transmitted via the HTTP/HTTPS/WebSocket protocols is used for technical, identification, statistical, and analytical purposes. This includes data such as:
- IP address;
- requested URL;
- the referring URL from which the User accessed the Website;
- the User's web browser;
- application version, device name and model, operating system, and interface language;
- other standard information transmitted via the HTTP/HTTPS/WebSocket protocols.
- An IP address is a unique identifier assigned to a computer or device on a network, enabling proper communication between devices.
- Users' IP address information may be disclosed to authorized public authorities upon request for the purposes of legal proceedings or to third parties pursuant to decisions issued by competent authorities.
- The data transmitted via HTTP/HTTPS/WebSocket listed above is also shared when communicating with third-party services used by the Application, including analytics, advertising, and social networking services.
§7 Third-Party Libraries
- The Service uses Google Analytics and Firebase to collect anonymous statistics regarding the use of the Application and the Website. The Google Privacy Policy also applies to Users.
- The Application uses the Facebook SDK to enable sign-in with a Facebook account.
- The Application uses Authentication Services to enable Sign in with Apple.
- The Application uses the Google Cloud Platform API to enable sign-in with a Google account.
